Lumiaava is a self-contained 54 m² apartment (plus an 8 m² sleeping loft) in a classic kelo (silvered aged-log) building, in a quiet corner of Ruka — close to everything without the crowds. Winters mean groomed slopes and cross-country tracks straight from the door; summers open onto cycling, hiking and paddling toward the national parks and the Karhunkierros trail. After a day outside: a hot sauna, a real fire, and log walls that hold the quiet.

Most guests drive from Kuusamo Airport (~25 km). The Skibus at the door also covers the village and the lifts, so the car can stay parked.
